THEE Baby Laene Bag

For those of you who know me, know I love BIG bags and purses! 

I have meaning to make myself a Baby Laene bag for some time now, and I really wanted to do it before Baby G arrives...which is now only a week away!

I only wish I could take credit for the beautiful patchwork pieces on the exterior of the bag, but I actually bought that fabric at a garage sale for $10 last summer. This woman (who was in her 70's) had started to make a quilt with scraps she had lying around and had only finished the top, so she decided to sell the patchwork fabric, because she said she wasn't ever going to finish it.

 I snatched it up right away and promised her I would make something cool out of it....and so I created a super big bag that we have already used a ton! My husband calls it my Mary Poppins bag, as it not only resembles it, but it also seems to be bottomless as we stuff so much inside!
