Inspiration for this bag was a dark purple pattern (her favorite color) for the exterior,

 and an interior pattern that looked sort of "manly", 

so both Katie and her husband could carry it (without embarrassment) when baby arrives!

I love how the interior pattern looks like a man's tie, 

but balances so nicely with the exterior feminine pattern.

Being a mom of two and always having a ton of stuff to carry, 

I wanted a new Baby Laene bag that had a shoulder strap, 

leaving my hands free to hold on to 

everything else I haul around!

his fab wife wanted a hooter hider.

The only requirements she gave me was that

she was really into...green. I feel in love with this

fabric and knew she would too...so pretty, sweet and elegant!

...so that Ms. Fiona could have her very own Stocking,

as she begins to celebrate her first Christmas

The Cat in the Hat

Laeney decided in August that for Halloween

she wanted to be the Cat in the Hat!

Loved the idea and thought I had plenty of time to get the costume made. Needless to say, the costume frantically got sewn

a few days before our first Halloween event!

It must have turned out okay though, as people recognized her as the Cat in the Hat. I guess maybe the HAT helped too, but hey I will pretend it was my awesome cat costume instead!
